Thankful & Feeling Blessed!

Today I am thankful. I am thankful that I am a stay at home mama. I am thankful for my health, (and even though I still get headaches, I am thankful for the reminder that God heals!) I am thankful for our finances that my hubby so graciously has under control, this allows me to get groceries and feed all of our bellies! I am thankful for my friends and family who love me for me. I am thankful for the time I got to spend with my little Miss C today. I am thankful for being able to teach her some very useful life skills...baking, cooking, and yes, even cleaning up! ;) I am thankful that my children come home from school with smiles and hugs for their mama! Oh, and I am thankful for coffee & Christmas music! (I am sipping on some java & listening to Pentatonix's Christmas Album waiting for those smiles and hugs!!) ;)

I am blessed to live this life I have been given. Thank you Jesus! As we are heading QUICKLY into the Season of Life & Giving....I am remembering to thank and be thankful for what I already have, and am trying hard not to become the "green-eyed monster".

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Quickie Post - Heading into the "Merry Christmas" Season!

Hi all! I am at the tail end of my classes this semester which means FINALS! EEK! My first one is tonight in Anthropology--Love that class! Anywho...I am also getting ready for my first Tradeshow of the season this Saturday! I decided that I would only be bringing some of my paintings - new and old! As well as selling out my Tupperware stock. So that'll be nice to clear out a spot in my basement!

I made some little Flax & Lavender Comfort Bags for my table as well. The neat little tutorial can be found here:

I don't have a final photo of the completed project (saving that for the TS!)

But...here are some along the way!

Each pouch is filled with 1.5 cups of whole flax seed & 5 drops Lavender Essential Oil
My house smells soooooo lovely right now!

Ah, seam ripper.....I used this tool many times through this process, as my sewing machine seems to not want to cooperate with me this week!

Here are the pouches filled with flax and lavender!

SHOES! I love this fabric. It was a scrap I had leftover from my daughter's sewing project. Who doesn't love shoes?

Very first one I finished!

On a side note...* Happy Thanksgiving to all my American family & friends!*

As always....

Putting my hobbies and passion on hold.....

Hi all! Sorry for the long term hiatus. I've put my blog on the back burner for awhile due to my children, school, and life in general. I began my 2nd year of Social Work back in September, and it has been an emotionally draining term. Looking forward to finals in December.
 My kiddos started soccer, volleyball, youth group, & brownies in the fall as well. So I can add chauffeur to my list of jobs too! (haha!) Squeezing in family time, school work, and my hobbies has been difficult for me to balance. Therefore, hobbies took the back seat. {I am now realizing that I still needed a hobby as a stress reliever!}
 Hoping to get back here in the new year. (I can make plans all I want, but we all know that sometimes, life takes over!) I am in the process of coming up with some new logos & projects to jump start the new year! Thanks for taking the time to browse around!

Mid Week Trip up North & a Scrapbook Haul!!

Happy Monday All! So we took a random trip up to Prince Albert last Wednesday (we arrived at 1 a.m.) Totally spur of the moment trip. My dh had a couple days off mid week (I love those days!) sooo, we packed up the kids & the car and headed out!

While there, we visited his parent, and saw some friends. We were able to sneak out to the movies for a date with a couple of our friends, Ryan & Chantelle! We haven't seen them in about 6 months, so it was definitely a really good visit! Anywho, we went to Pacific Rim...AWESOME! Thanks mom and dad for watching the kiddos!

While on this trip, I also snuck in visit with my friend Brianne. She is the owner/operator of Bri's Scrapbook Therapy & has tons of wonderful product to create with! Of course, while I was there I did some shopping!

I cannot wait to use these! {missing from photo: Steampunk Spells by Graphic 45}

Love me some Washi Tape! Especially with a Paris Theme! Also, Liquid Pearls! Love this color and love how smooth it goes on my projects {I've tried LP on canvas only, so I'm excited to see what else it can do!} I was able to score some black Gesso, so I will be looking at how I can use these little jars of goodness! {yes, I bought 3! haha}

Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Chalkboard {in Apricot & Strawberry Shortcake}! Whaa? I'm good with anything that has to do with a chalkboard! ;) Also purchased a Glimmer Mist in Tattered Leather!

LOVE My Mind's Eye! "Find Your Wings and Fly" Collection: Paper, brads and a coordinating stamp set! I finally got my hands on a set of dylusions 5x8" stencils!! Super excited to put them to use! eek!! :D

You can also check out Bri's Facebook page here. Head over and show her some love!

I've been working on a long awaited commissioned painting for a customer for a couple days now...just need to find some more ink, and I will have it complete! Have a great week & thanks for joining me today!

My Adventure in Painting a Kitchen...

Those who know me, know that I despise painting walls/rooms. I mean, give me a canvas and a brush and I'll make you a creation from my own mind! But, put me to work in a room, in your house...EEK! I have decided that I am partially alright with doing first and maybe second coats of primer & paint, but doing the last coat? UH-UH!

That being said...

I agreed to help my friend Kim out a couple of weeks ago, when she tackled her entire kitchen! The color she chose is absolutely gorgeous!

 I love this color! "Butter" by #pittsburghpaints LOVE IT!!!

Turns out, when I got home and compared my paint stained shirt,

 it matches my kitchen
cupboards to a TEE! {Possibly why I love

it so much!}

"After" Photo...

We had a lot of fun slapping it altogether! In between coats,

I got to watch her baby girl finish up her last day of

swimming lessons & then they took me out for an early

birthday supper! Before heading back to work, we stopped

at numerous garage sales around the town of Russell, MB!

I picked up quite a few goodies there; some old books, a

sweater, some frames, a mini apothecary jar, & these

lovelies :

This beauty {$1!}will add a nice touch to the photoshoot I am hoping for in the fall! {Look for that project late September!}

"Mike Wasowski" {sp?} Costume will be for my not-so-baby girl for halloween! $2!! Woot!

Thanks Kim, for allowing me to throw my creative streak for a

 loop! {a positive one at that!} It's quite freeing to "throw"

paint on to a wall! I have to add, that Kim did the finishing

 coats and all the clean up! So I apologize for not sticking

around Kim!! :D

Summer Birthdays...and a bit more!

Hello there! I am just arriving home after spending the last 2 weeks running around! I spent my birthday weekend in Saskatoon scrapbooking like mad! {YAHOO!} Arrived home last Monday, just to unpack/repack and head out to Good Spirit Lake! I love summer!

In June, we celebrated 2 outta 4 of my kiddos birthdays.

WARNING: Massive amounts of photos ahead!

The first one was A.J. who turned 5!

The second party was for Khymara, who turned 8!

And as an added bonus! {hehe} Here are a few pics from my scrap-cation!

My Birthday Drink of choice for the weekend! Coffee, choco syrup, Baileys, peppermint extract, & whip cream! YUMMO!

Karen working like mad on her fabulous Florida project! This gal is so stinkin' creative!! Only she would think of using some Tim Holtz packaging to make a "Shadow Box" for a gigantic sea shell! <3

I created this image with some help from a page out of Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine . June 2013 ed.
Flowers add just that bit of charm! {Prima & BoBunny...I believe, don't quote me on that!}

I adore making tags! I like to re-use packaging from products {cardboard inserts, etc}

Inspiration for this was found here
...Dyan Reaveley . I have not yet purchased a stencil like this. So I decided at midnight to create one. I really liked how it turned out.

I love my mini canvas! Inspiration for this little guy {2x2" mini} can be found here
 INSPIRATION VID ^_^

Country Moose Scrap-N-Patch! I love this place that is tucked away in a small town called Laird, Sk!

Me & my scrappin' buddy Karen! {Creator & Owner of Country Moose Scrap-N-Patch}

And of course, a project is never finished without getting messy! Love sprays & inks!

Happy Hump Day!!!
